At Flexure Print N Pack, we strive to make the world a better place. We seek to inspire positive environmental change through actions and products that foster a more sustainable future.
Flexible Packaging provides many consumer conveniences including extended shelf life, easy storage, microwave ability, resealability, barrier properties against moisture, oxygen, chemicals and other gases to name a few. At Flexure Print N Pack, we are committed to finding ways to continue to improve flexible packaging products’ impact on our environment. Part of this commitment includes sourcing recyclable films made from homogenous polymeric families. Flexure Print N Pack’s recyclable films include stand-alone mono layer films, and print as well as barrier sealant films for laminations. These films offer the same great convenience and functionality as multiple heterogeneous material structures but with added benefits of recyclability.
To reduce the environmental burden, we analyse the systematic life cycle assessment by understanding the entire life of a flexible packaging product. At a Flexure Print N Pack, we recognise the importance of contributing towards a circular economy. Therefore, all our products are either recyclable or energy recoverable and hence they never end up littered in landfill sites which in turn leads to increase in carbon footprint.
We at Flexure Print N Pack believe in designing and manufacturing products from homogenous materials so that the material at the end of its life cycle gets recycled and the products which are made from heterogeneous combinations can be used for energy recovery.
We also believe in reducing our manufacturing plant waste as well as post-consumer waste. This is made possible via the organised approach of EPR (Extended Producer’s Responsibility). As a part of EPR system and Flexure Print N Pack’s collaboration with an environmental agency, whatever quantity of flexible packaging material is manufactured by us is collected, segregated, shredded and then sent for recycling or energy recovery purposes and thus reducing its end-of-life cycle.
The value chain of post-consumer plastic waste collection helps in creating immense opportunities of employment generation for the rag pickers who constitute a significant amount of the population of the nation and are also the bottom of the pyramid (BOP) in the economic human pyramid of our nation.
